Our Groveport site has an immediate opening for a dynamic Engineering Manager who will organize, deploy, and measure all activities within the Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities departments to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, service, and productivity.

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Manages projects related to reliability, continuous improvement, equipment installation, validations, and new product development; actively participates in engineering work, and provides technical support, knowledge, mentorship, and guidance at the floor level.
  • Manages the delivery of projects through the complete lifecycle from initiation through to operation (e.g., ensuring project is delivered on time, meets business and technical requirements, within the agreed budget).
  • Adopts and drives Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methods that improve safety, quality, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) & cost targets; deploys reliability maintenance methods/strategies that optimizes the performance of equipment, maximizes uptime, and ensures integration with Operations.
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships/expectations through communication of site equipment capabilities/performance as well as execution of the new product introductions (NPI) process.
  • Maintains ownership of the site-specific CapEx strategy in view of budgeting and departmental execution.
  • Leads, assigns and manages the activities of the Maintenance and Facilities teams to ensure optimal results in safety, quality, productivity and cost.
  • Oversees the spare parts room, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely replenishment, and accurate record-keeping to support maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime
  • Develops, leads, and coaches teams responsible for the preventative maintenance program to ensure consistent, proactive maintenance activities that prevent equipment failures and extend machinery life.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field required.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance and a minimum of five (5) years in a management / leadership position.

  • Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably cosmetics or pharmaceutical, with high speed and agile filing and packaging systems.

  • Project Management (PMP or CPM) preferred.
